Mr. Vinay Kumar, Managing Director of National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Ltd. (NFCSF), has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has specialization in Sugar Engineering from National Sugar Institute.
As the Managing Director of NFCSF, has been responsible for all round development of the cooperative sector of sugar industry. Besides representing the sector with the concerned fora for evolving favourable policies, has been functioning as a motive force for making the cooperative sector of sugar industry globally competitive.
As Managing Director of NFCSF, he is a representative of Indian sugar industry in all major international bodies dealing with sugar & its by-products and has been participating in all most all the international events, conferences, workshops, seminars conducted/organized by ICUMSA, Global Sugar Alliance, World Association of Beet & Cane Growers, ISSCT, International Sugar Organization, F.O. Licht & so forth. The international contacts have helped the Indian sugar industry keep up with the global developments in the industry. Besides being a Director in most of the national bodies in India, is Member of the Executive Committee of ISSCT. As Member Secretary of Indian Sugar Exim Corporation Ltd. (ISEC), responsible for formulation and execution of policies with regard to export/import of sugar, interaction with international bodies such as EC, ISO and International sugar trading houses, keeping in mind the welfare of Indian sugar industry. ISEC also undertakes trading in sugar on behalf of sugar factories.
Mr. Vinay Kumar has also been actively involved in the cooperative movement in India. He is also Honrary Managing Director of National Film & Fine Arts Cooperative Ltd. and was a Member of Core Group of High Level Committee constituted by the Government of India for identifying challenges before the cooperative sector and suggesting measures to address them and to suggest appropriate policy and legislative frame-work to ensure democratic and autonomous functioning of cooperatives.
